SAN FRANCISCO - November 14, 2024 - DecisionNext, the leading AI platform that enables companies to optimize the buying and selling of commodities at the best possible time and price, today announced that longtime Head of Engineering Parker Pinette has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer, focused on the company’s technology infrastructure. Co-Founder and former CTO Robert Pierce will become Chief Science Officer to drive the product vision and maximize the delivery of customer value. This advancement is a direct reflection of the growth DecisionNext has experienced, enabling it to create specialized roles that help deliver an even better product.

“We are very excited to promote Parker to CTO,” commented Mike Neal, DecisionNext Co-Founder and CEO. “He is the brains behind our infrastructure, and an incredibly flexible systems engineer who ensures that the platform is able to support the intense compute demands that allow us to deliver consistently high value to the customer. And as CSO, Bob will ensure that we do just that.”

Now as CTO, Pinette will continue to evolve DecisionNext’s infrastructure and technology platform to enable even faster product development and application lifecycle management, at scale. He also oversees corporate security and compliance, training, and technical support. In his previous role, he led the effort to bolster the company’s cloud security to achieve SOC 2 Type II compliance and become an AWS Partner, all while managing IT controls for a global team and delivering continuous updates of DecisionNext’s best-in-class software to a growing customer base.

“I’m excited to take on this new role, and I look forward to continuing to work closely with Bob to deliver innovative new features to the DecisionNext forecasting suite,” said Pinette. “We’re making the software faster and more intuitive, making it even easier for our customers to make the best decisions.”

By stepping into a new role as CSO, Pierce will drive a holistic product vision for DecisionNext to increase customer value generation and guide the forward-looking product design and roadmap. As he steps back from UI prototyping and development, Pierce will have more time to focus on converging the product toward deeper business insights, practical applications and other user benefits.

“My goal is to spend as much time with customers as possible,” said Pierce, “and use those learnings to expand what our platform can do for them, and the value it delivers.”
